Job Description

As a senior fullstack engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of an accountants assistant system called “Money Forward Cloud Partner (hereinafter referred to as Cloud Partner)'', which is used by the certified business partners of Money Forward. Cloud Partner enables our business partners to efficiently manage their client information and provide various professional services. 

Cloud Partner has been developed and maintained by another team in Tokyo, but this time we are going to establish a new engineering team in the Nagoya branch to accelerate the development. You are expected to become the driving force of the development and also establish a great product team together.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve accountants assistant system
• Active participation in code reviews and pair-programming to improve the code quality
• Monitor the production environment and recover the system if some troubles happen 
• Participate in the discussions of product specifications
• Contribute to the improvement of development process, communication, team building, etc

Qualifications

Must Have

• 5+ years of web application development experience
• Full stack web application development skill
• Experience of backend development with Ruby on Rails and RDBMS
• Proficiency of test driven development
• Experience of container based development
• Experience of designing and deploying cloud infrastructure
• Professional working proficiency in English (IELTS 7+, TOEFL iBT 100+, TOEIC 870+)
• Motivation to learn Japanese
• Be able to relocate to Japan and commute to the office in Nagoya at least once in a week

Nice to Have

• Experience of microservice development
• Experience of system architecture design
• Experience of frontend development with Next.js and GraphQL
• Experience of working in scrum team practicing DevOps

Our Product, "BANK APP"

“BANK APP" is a mobile application for customers of regional financial institutions, which allows users to access various services such as account opening, fund transfer, loan borrowing, repayment, and changing address, in addition to daily money management such as account balance, deposit, withdrawal details, mortgage balance, and mutual fund investment status. It is linked to the account system in collaboration with regional financial institutions and system vendors, so it can be used by anyone, including those who do not have an internet banking account.

Salary Range

• 7-9 million JPY annually

• Location: Nagoya, Japan
• Remote work: Hybrid/Partial remote with one day of in-office work per week
